Crafted by hand in Madagascar, this collaboration between Avté Bardo and Odissea brings together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design through a curated collection of ten unique bags.

Each piece is woven from natural vetiver grass by Marie, a local artisan. Vetiver grass lies at the heart of this craft. Grown and harvested by men, it is carefully prepared and woven by women, preserving its distinctive texture and naturally sweet, earthy fragrance.

Each bag is adorned with a leather cord, handcrafted by Odissea and finished with sterling silver tips and a signature charm, bringing a distinctive jewelry element to the woven design. In keeping with our commitment to thoughtful production, each bag features an interior pouch made from repurposed fabric remnants by Zii Ropa, giving new life to existing materials while minimizing textile waste.

Your Odissea charm and leather chord tips is 925 sterling silver, handcrafted by artisans in Taxco, Mexico. Like any fine metal, it responds to the world it moves through — a little tarnish over time is natural, not a flaw.
